
This chapter gives detailed descriptions of daily menus for three age groups (4-8, 9-13 and
14-18 years) for two consecutive weeks.
Each one features the Total Calorific Value (*T.C.V.) of the meals each day, as well as the percentage of protein, fat and carbohydrates, respectively.
The T.C.V. has been distributed according to recommendations for a healthy diet:
- Breakfast 15%
- Morning Snack 10%
- Lunch 30-35%
- Afternoon Snack 15%
- Dinner 25-30%
In this way, each of the five daily meals is described with its corresponding *T.C.V., expressed in kilocalories, together with the percentage of protein, fat, and carbohydrates.
Information is also provided for ovo-lacto vegetarian diets, averaging 1,600-2,000 kcal.
